Our morning was a simple matter of slipping around the corner to Queena’s Café. With a sunny morning, it was just a hop, skip and a jump!

One last experience of the amazing coffee culture. Yum!!!

Two smoked salmon bennies, heaven on earth!
The Uber picked us up with lots of time to arrive at the airport by 10:30 for our 1:30 flight. But, there’s an issue! Our flight gets us as far as Vancouver but what happened to our connecting flight?
While we’re flying Air Canada home, we were being processed by an Air New Zealand agent. Reminiscent of the missed connection to Christchurch coming in through Auckland, the agent smiles and says, “Let’s see what I can do.” After about 20 minutes, we had our connecting flight to Comox. All that was left was to take the guitar over to the oversized and fragile baggage counter. Within a few minutes, we were done.
With the magic of crossing the International Date Line, we landed in Vancouver early in the morning of the day we departed. With a 90-minute layover, we arrived in Comox early enough to actually get home before we departed!
That’s not all the magic, as we waited in the baggage area, an agent carried my guitar case out and carefully leaned it against the wall… and it was still in tune!

Technically, we arrived home in winter but it was a warm, spring-like day. To our delight we arrived home to beautiful Canadian skies!
What a finale!
