My name is Ross and as the URL suggests, I’m a grandfather. My wife Lynne and I raised our kids and along the way, the kids and grandkids gave me a variety of nicknames including Grampafacts. With our kids grown and gone, we turned our thoughts to travel, an idea that got set aside early as the kids came along. From 2015 to 2019 we saw quite a bit of the world.

We were well into our travel agenda when 2020 came along. Staying safe and staying home became priorities, and over the last few years became habit. This grand journey is our way of throwing off the shackles and resuming our more adventurous interests.

This website was set up so that we could share our 2023 travel experiences with family and friends. We spent February on the South Island and the first two weeks of March on the North Island.
